DATA
Welcome to the DATA wiki. DATA is a decentralized organization of artists and hackers emanating from Concordia University’s Computation Arts and Computer Science programs.
Ethic
DATA exists to create a community for new-media (art) students in Montreal. DATA is based on the following principles adapted from hacker ethic:
- You can create art and beauty with (digital) systems.
- Artists and hackers should be judged solely by what they create.
- Information should be shared.
- Decentralization should be promoted.
You do not need to ask to join DATA. ‘Membership’ entails planning and participating in DATA events. You can meet DATA members and scheme on on the d474 list. For more information email Morgan Sutherland or Dan.
